Back again ;)

After some really relaxing weeks of holiday with the three of us, the holidaydays now make place for ehm...the usual but FUN stuff! We had such a great time and it's good to feel like time stands still for a bit and the only thing you think about is what to eat and when to take a nap ;) Last week we spent the whole week in Friesland, lots of little trips on the water with a little motorboat which my son LOVES! Mmth We had some friends over for 1 day and one of them took this pic of me playing with my sweetie, i have so little snapshots of me and him, cuz guess who is holding that camera most of the time ;)

Here's the layout that i posted a sneak of in my previous post. The running Dutch Dare is "A bow long bent at last waxes weak."
My friend Sylvia is such a calm and relaxing person to be around. So having lunch with her is a true relaxing moment for me and my son adores her too. Dd18_m These pics were taken about a year ago in our garden. I chose for these songlines cuz they kinda match my sons actions ;) Check out what the other girls came up with here, and maybe you are inspired to do the dare yourself! Used the Love Elsie products and Scenic Route for this one.

Thanks for popping by!

Racing grannies

Hi! Wanted to share a couple of things, first the Memory Lane challenge from june, Mlsjunimandy we got to use the beautiful Daisy D's papers! Challenge was to make a 6x12 inch LO, fun! The journaling is about how something completely new "woke up" in me when this sweet little being was put into my arms for the first time. It's something which makes that i'm always with him, even when i'm not there. It's something that does not go to sleep at night when everybody sleeps and when i sleep. I so so love this little man. Supplies: Daisy D's pp, tag, ribbon, Scenic Route pp, diecut border, chipboard flower, i printed the Today&Always digital image from Creating Keepsakes Love Asia kit on a transparancy. It was my DH birthday this week, i gave him some pressies and took him out for a romantic dinner (for 2 that is hehe). Among other pressies i gave him these racing grannies, R_g1 R_g2 which you can wind up and have a race with them. Look at how mean they look haha. Oh yeah, some holidaypics here as well. This hilarious goat thinks he's a giraffe i reckon. Hungry_goat Also my little boy was popular with the young ladies in France ;), M_n the castle is in SaumurSau , where we stayed near and i caught a cute love-couple on film along the Loire-riverLove_and_loire , while he was playing the guitar. Last is a sneakpeek of the next Dutch Dare, which will be up next wednesday! Sn_pdd19m Recognise some Love Elsie in there? I completely fell for her line, check it out at Memory Lane Scrapbooking and while you are there, gasp at the new stunning papers from Cherry Arte!! Have a really great weekend!

Back home

Swap_ingrid Totally relaxed from a 2 weeks holiday in France (croissants, castles, goats, good wines, naps and quality familytime can make a girl feel so much better) i'm slowly getting back into the bloggin' thing. And trying to catch up with what everbody has been up to. A huge congrats to Fauve, delivering a beautiful babyboy!! Posting a few layouts, the first is the photoswap i did with the mucho mega talented Ingrid. The second is one i made for Birgits sketch challenge. Sketch_challenge_juni_mandy This extremely color-layout kinda sticks out in our wedding album now, (which is mostly muted colors LOL), but had great fun finally scrapping this weddingphoto. It's our kiss on a balcony, while below us in the garden, our family and friends were yelling to take a loooooot longer, cos they still wanted to take a photo, (how romantic is that ;) Last one is my take on the previous Dutch Dare (16), which i post kinda late. Dd16_m Go check out what the current Dutch Dare (17) is, looking forward to see what you create!

Sneakpeeks

Hi! Been a little bit busy lately with lots of things, except blogging... And after 2 weeks i still share only sneakpeeks LOL, bare with me ok? ;)

First peek is of this months Memory Lane challenge, which will be up on the MLS site soon. While you're there check out all the yummy goodies she sells...Sn_pmlsjunim  Second peek is of my first photoswap ever, which was pretty scary stuff, cuz the swap is with Ingrid, who rocks so much, she makes gorgeous projects. And i kept thinking "Ingrid's good, so this LO has to be good", which made me nervous making it, but when i decided she can always hide it behind another layout, things brightened up and i had fun with it! Sn_pswapingrid And the third sneakpeek is of the layout inspired by Birgits monthly sketchchallenge, she shares a sketch monthly and it is so much fun! Sn_psketchbirgit Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!

Shhh...don't tell ;)

This year fathersday isn't going to catch me by surpise, like it did last year... I made him something. To let him know that i think he's the best dad my little boy could wish for. A little accordion-album, with the pics i love most... Pei_2 Pei3 Pei5 Pei8 The piece of fabric on the front is an image-transfer (made with gelmedium) and put a Heidi Swapp stamp around it.I altered the little stars to make them match the booklet. Little painted chipboard letters are CherryArte. I used the Cosmo Cricket mini-album as a base and added CC and Hambly overlays&rubons, Ki epoxy sticker, stamps are Heidi Swapp and Autumn Leaves. Ribbon AC, chipboard element on the closure is Imagination Prpject, underneath is a little magnet (also under the fabric) to make the booklet close. Now i have to keep this out of sight for another week LOL, it's safe to post, cuz i know he never reads my blog ;))  To see the rest of the pages click here. Thanks for popping by and have a great weekend!

Step by step

Just before hopping into the weekend, i thought i'd upload two layouts i made. One (the 'red' one called Fresh is my take on this weeks Dutch Dare. Dd15_m We had another very COOL guestdesigner, Monique, who challenged us to make a layout about 'what is summer to us'... And to use a minimum of three photo's! Check here to see what the other girls made! The other layout is called Step by step Stapvoorstap and journaling is about how my sons little feet take him to new places (read: out of mommy's safe arms...) and how he needs new challenges on his way like playing with other kids. For one day a week i manage to let him go (just a little bit LOL), since just recently he goes to a daycare-centre one day a week. And he does so well there. While his mommy is still having a hard time trusting others to care for him that day...cuz i'm learning to trust step by step too.

Supplies used in "Fresh": Red Bazzill, Hambly overlays, ribbon&lace, BG rubons, covered with green stickles, Autumn Leaves epoxy stickers, American Crafts letterstickers. Supplies on the other one: MM Kraft, BG, Fancy Pants creative cards, Hambly, Heidi Swapp (chipboard clock), AC-thickers (painted brown), CherryArte chipboard letters (painted brown) and flowers. Now most of my supplies i got from Danielle's cool store...

Have a great weekend!

The good things!

Last week i felt like creating something mini (again LOL). So i got out an Urban Lily diecut sheet that has all the pages on it for a mini-album. Favoritetoys_1 Favorite_toys2 Favorite_toys3 Favorite_toys4 Favorite_toys5 Favorite_toys6Favoritetoys7  I made a little album about my son's favorite toys at 15 months. I embellished the pages with paintpens, mini eyelets, brads, stickers, scraps of Hambly, ribbon, a little tag, chipboard letters by KMA, i stamped a Heidi Swapp stamp on shrinkfoil, shrunk it and used a paintpen to color the side and painted the back with acrylic paint.

We had the best weekend.... M_m_0507 we went to Friesland with my parents and totally relaxed... Time to fish (darn, my dad caught most of the fish, he even put a ready bought mackerel (still in plastic, from the supermarket) on his hook, you should have seen my DH face when my dad got it out of the water), time to chat, eat, drink wine, go out on the boat, dye my hair, cut my toenails :) , sleep in (thanks to my mum who played with our little boy in the meantime woohoo). Good things!!
